The game of soccer first developed from an ancient Chinese game called Cuju during the 2nd century BCE, then started to develop during the 600 CE the Japanese sport called Kemari was developed from the Chinese game Cuju. By the 18th century professional teams were formed and played games. The World Cup started in the 19th century.
