Soccer to Movies

There are movies related to soccer that have been popular and well known. Probably the most well known soccer movie is a movie called "Goal!". With the first movie with success they is a second movie "Goal! II". The movie is directed by Danny Cannon.

The story starts out with a family escaping from South America to come to America. Turns out that the mother left home after coming to America. The family and the protagonist grows in poverty. The main character, Santiago Muñez is a skilled and talented soccer player who plays a town team of only South Americans. His dream is to become a pro footballer. Later on he is caught by the eye of the secretary of a England pro soccer team, Newcastle United. However his dad is careless about his dreams. The secretary tells him when the tryouts are and gives him his phone numbers and how to contact him. So the main character starts to make money to go to England by working every hard. When he had made almost all the money his dad takes it and buys a new truck for his work without telling his son. Just when he has no hope at all, his grandmother supports with money to go to England. He also finds his mother and goes to England to join one of the greatest soccer teams. However there is another wall that stops him, the playing is much more harsh then what he used to play in town, his skills does not work on the professional players. He also gets insulted by other players. In his first friendly game a team mate steps on his asthma pump, so his body does not function well. Eventually the coach is disappointed at him and tells him to go back home. However there was other hope, a trouble maker in the team who was late had met him in the taxi and takes him back to the manager. The manager gives him another chance and he eventually impresses the manager and becomes the best player in the team.

I personally really liked this movie, because I obviously like soccer and there was a lot of meaning in this movie. Teaching about teamwork, chances, goals, and dreams. I think its a great movie for everyone to watch.

The second movie is basically the same idea but he transfers to one of the best teams in the world, Real Madrid and becomes a exceeding goal scorer in that team as well.
